Tesla recently tweaked its U.S. website to emphasize potential savings and incentives when purchasing one of its electric vehicles.
During the ordering process for a Model 3 or Model Y, for example, the Tesla website now indicates “Customize your potential savings and incentives” under vehicle pricing. When potential customers click the link, they are provided with a drop-down menu of incentives by state (if applicable), making it easy for users to tick off the boxes for relevant EV rebates and other incentives.

As you can see from the above example for California, Tesla lays out the incentives available both before and after delivery, while totalling up the potential savings. This process makes it easier for future buyers to see what they can gain when purchasing an electric vehicle in their respective state.
While Tesla outlining potential savings and incentives on its website is not exactly new (you can see EV and solar incentives here), the slight tweak to show an incentive calculator higher up ‘above the fold’ on the website makes it clearer to prospective customers what they can save, when buying a Tesla, for example.
