Lucid Air Range: 517 Miles/832km on Single Charge Says Lucid Motors
After releasing a teaser earlier this week, electric vehicle company Lucid Motors has announced its Lucid Air will be able to go 517 miles (832 km) on a single charge, based on estimated EPA range.
“Raising the bar with 517 miles on a single charge. It’s the new EV benchmark for estimated EPA range—and the #LucidAir set it,” said the company on Twitter.

According to Lucid’s website, “the Lucid Air is a marvel of proportion and form. Freed from the spatial requirements of an internal combustion engine, the Air achieves an expansive full-size interior within a midsize exterior, delivering sublime comfort in a new luxury class.”

The Lucid Air sedan with its 517 mile range looks to beat Tesla’s 2020 Model S Long Range Plus configuration, which can go 402 miles (646 km) on a single charge.
But in the words of DMX, “talk is cheap”, as Lucid Motors has yet to produce its Lucid Air for sale. You can reserve one for $1,000 USD (or $1,300 CAD), which the company says is fully refundable.
Tesla says its Cybertruck will be able to surpass 500 miles, while the Roadster will get 620 miles. Let’s see who will actually become the king of EV range soon.
