For the Canadians out there waiting for Tesla’s Model Y to hit north of the 49th parallel, the wait will be over soon.
According to Tesla’s store in West Vancouver, Model Y deliveries will begin in June.
“Hey guys! Some really exciting news this morning. As you may have heard through the grapevine, Model Y deliveries are beginning in Vancouver this month (June) and I am happy to confirm this,” explained advisor Charlie Wang, from the West Vancouver Tesla store.
“We are working hard to have a showroom vehicle in the Park Royal showroom this month,” added Wang, who also said customers ordering now will allow them to take delivery as soon as possible.
Tesla said back January its deliveries in Canada would be fast-tracked to mid-2020 and now we’ll soon see the first Model Y deliveries hit the Great White North, after a successful launch of the compact SUV in the United States, which started in March.
The Tesla Model Y starts at $75,990 in Canada for the Long Range AWD configuration, while the Performance AWD starts at $85,990. The Standard range is set to begin production in early 2021.
