Since their first quarter earnings call last week, Tesla Inc.’s stock outlook has been a subject of much discussion. Whether it’s gratified investors touting the potential of the company’s future earnings, or Elon Musk tweeting about the price of the stock, there’s no denying that Tesla’s stock remains a hot subject of speculation. In a recent update from the acclaimed investor Warren Buffett, he shares his outlook on Tesla, Elon Musk, and the company’s stock.
According to recent coverage from Yahoo! Finance, Buffett and Musk have a unique history. Apparently the two met at a charity event called The Giving Pledge. “The Giving Pledge is a campaign organized by Buffett and former Microsoft Corporation CEO Bill Gates created to encourage the world’s wealthiest individuals to donate the majority of their wealth to philanthropic causes.”
Despite being friendly with one another, Buffett ultimately said he would not invest in Tesla’s stock at this point in time. However, it seems that Buffet’s opinion of Tesla and Musk remain positive. When asked about Musk Buffett said “He’s done some remarkable things.”
Tesla’s stock stands as an uncertain proposition in many investing circles. In the first quarter of 2020, the electric vehicle manufacturer reported a small profit. The profit came in spite of complications caused by COVID-19.
