Tesla 2020.12.6 Update: Here’s the Stoplight and Stop Sign Response in Action
In a new software update from electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla Inc., drivers have the ability to implement new stop light detection features. As seen in previous video showcases, the new software features allow vehicles to respond to stop signs, stop lights, and other driving conditions in real-time. A new demonstration puts the feature to the test. Let’s take a closer look.
In a video on Twitter from user @alex_gayer, viewers get further insights on the functions of the new update. Stop sign and stop light detection comes as an upgrade to the Tesla Autopilot feature. The software update 2020.12.6 delivers on Tesla’s previous statements supporting the much-requested features.
As the video shows, users must first enable the Traffic Light and Stop Sign Control within the Autopilot section of their settings. The feature demonstrates that the feature works whether on cruise control or auto steer. The update provides full more control and safety over Autopilot function in regards to traffic conditions.
