New Video Inspects Tesla Model Y Aeroshields, Hood Alignment, and More [VIDEO]
As drivers get their hands on the new Tesla Model Y, more information on the specifics of the vehicle becomes available. In a new video from Munro Live, viewers get a detailed look at the Model Y aeroshields, hood alignment, and engine bay rail reinforcements.
The first thing to note about the video is that the aeroshields in the Model Y are quite similar to those found in the Model 3. However, the Model Y uses a PP with 15% glass in order to create a more durable aeroshield. It’s these kind of fine-tuned technical adjustments that make the Model Y such a hit among Tesla enthusiasts.
The video then investigates a slight gap present in the hood of the Model Y. While it’s a minor issue, the gap results from updated hinges used toward the top of the vehicle’s hood. Taking a look under the storage compartment, cross car beams illustrate an improvement to stability in the Model Y.
As the video mentions, such enhancements contribute to the vehicle’s safety in the event of an accident. Additional extra-strength materials on both sides of the interior add even greater reinforcements to the front of the vehicle. Various improvements in the Model Y have already been uncovered in a slew of videos and reviews. You can surely expect more to come.
