Starlink Mini Deal Drops Price to $149 From $249

Starlink has dropped the price of its Mini Kit to $149, down from its typical $249 price, according to an email received by Tesla North on October 2.

The discount takes $100 off the usual price of the portable dish, making the hardware cheaper for customers looking for internet access while travelling or spending time away from a fixed connection. That goes deeper than the previous $199 all-time low covered earlier this year.

According to the email, the Mini is designed to provide fast and reliable internet on the go. The company highlighted travelling, camping, exploring, boating and RVing among the situations where the portable system can be used.

The hardware itself is a portable satellite dish intended for customers who want to take their internet connection with them. Starlink is positioning the Mini as an option for people who may need connectivity during road trips, camping trips or other activities where a traditional home internet connection is not available.

A service plan is required to use the Mini Kit. The email did not provide plan pricing or an end date for the $149 hardware offer, and it noted that price and availability may vary. SpaceX restored a free Mini perk for top-tier plan subscribers in Canada and the U.S. in August.

For customers who have been considering the portable system, the biggest change is the upfront hardware cost. At $149 instead of the typical $249 price, the current offer reduces the cost of the kit by $100 before the required service plan is added. The company has also experimented with Mini promotions abroad, including free rentals in Japan.

Those interested in the discounted Mini Kit can check availability and purchase options directly through Starlink, with the company noting that pricing and availability can vary.

You can sign up for Starlink here and grab the Mini Kit at the $149 price while it lasts.
