Tesla Begins Delivering Updated Model Y with Zen Grey Interior in China

The first batch of updated 2026 Tesla Model Y units has started arriving at delivery centers in China, sporting a fresh look both inside and out. Social media footage shared by @tslaming offers a detailed walkthrough of the changes as the electric SUVs hit the ground.

The most noticeable exterior update is the addition of factory black badges, replacing the traditional chrome logos for a more aggressive, modern appearance. However, the biggest changes are found inside the cabin.

The 2026 Model Y now features a Zen Grey interior option. This new look swaps out the previous wood trim for a clean, textile-based dashboard wrap that matches the darker aesthetic of the updated Model 3.

This is a unified palette. The warm, off-white/light-grey tone covers significantly more surface area. The armrests, door grab handles, center console sides, and the trim around the wireless charging area are now color-matched to the seats instead of being black

While these specific updates are currently being spotted at Chinese delivery hubs, they often signal what is coming next for North American production. Tesla frequently rolls out incremental running changes to its vehicles throughout the year rather than waiting for a traditional model year launch. When will Zen Grey interiors make their way into North America?
