SpaceX Just Dropped the Starlink Mini Dish to Its Lowest Price Yet

SpaceX has quietly slashed the price of its Starlink Mini dish in the U.S. and Canada, dropping it to just $229 USD (or $299 CAD) — a 54% discount from its original $499 sticker price and the lowest we’ve seen yet for the compact terminal. The Starlink Mini dropped to $299 USD ($399 CAD) just last month, but this latest deal makes it even easier on the wallet.

Starlink’s larger Standard dish has also been discounted, now available for $279 (down from $349) in the U.S. It’s currently unclear whether these new lower prices will expand to other markets. In both the U.S. and Canada, prospective customers can also still “rent” a Standard dish for free as part of Starlink’s ongoing promotion for new users.

The timing of this deal comes just days after Starlink surpassed 8 million users worldwide across more than 150 countries and territories, marking yet another major milestone for SpaceX’s satellite internet service.

While this latest price cut isn’t as dramatic as the jaw-dropping $89 deal for the Standard dish that Starlink ran back in September, it still marks a new all-time low for the Mini — and may be a sign of what’s to come. The company has also been offering longtime Residential plan customers a free Starlink Mini dish via email promotions in recent weeks, suggesting an aggressive push to expand Mini adoption.

It’s worth noting that Starlink has made huge strides in improving its network as of late, with median peak-hour download speeds jumping more than 50% in 2025 alone. The company recently even offered former subscribers a whopping 50% discount on their monthly bill for two years if they reactivated their accounts.

Taken together, Starlink’s growing list of promotions — from free dishes to deep discounts — could indicate that new hardware is on the horizon. Rumors of at least two updated Starlink dishes have circulated for months, and SpaceX’s latest pricing moves could be a sign that next-gen terminals are just around the corner.
