Tesla is offering a rare deal for new buyers in Australia and New Zealand — a discount of nearly $5,000 AUD/NZD on vehicles equipped with its Full Self-Driving (FSD) Supervised software. The promotion applies to eligible Model 3 and Model Y inventory vehicles and runs through the end of October (via The Driven).

Customers browsing Tesla’s local inventory pages will notice select vehicles tagged with a blue FSD badge and a banner reading, “Enjoy savings on eligible inventory vehicles when purchased with Full Self-Driving (Supervised).” The price adjustment brings the cost of these in-stock models down, effectively lowering the total driveaway price for those adding Tesla’s most advanced driver-assistance software.

The offer applies to in-stock Model 3 RWD, Model Y RWD, and Model Y Long Range AWD units, with the discount varying by model. Customers can get $4,940 AUD off the Model 3 RWD, while the Model Y RWD and Model Y Long Range AWD see price reductions of $2,940 and $3,450 AUD, respectively. Orders are required by October 31, and FSD activation by November 30, 2025.

Tesla lists FSD (Supervised) as a $10,100 AUD ($11,400 NZD) upgrade, though a new subscription option is coming soon at $149 AUD/$159 NZD per month — giving customers a more flexible way to try the technology.

FSD (Supervised) began its public rollout in Australia and New Zealand in mid-September, following a limited media preview in August that impressed local reviewers for its ability to handle complex driving scenarios such as roundabouts and unmarked roads. The feature is available for all Tesla Model 3 and Model Y vehicles with Hardware 4 (HW4/AI4) and can be installed via an over-the-air software update.

Within two weeks of launch, Tesla owners across the two countries collectively logged over 1 million kilometers using FSD (Supervised), underscoring growing enthusiasm for the feature. The promotion comes as Tesla looks to accelerate FSD adoption in its newest market, even running paid ads in high-traffic locations like airports to raise awareness.

By pairing this new discount with the upcoming subscription plan, Tesla is making moves to grow FSD market share across Australia and New Zealand — two of the automaker’s most engaged right-hand-drive markets. The limited-time promotion also signals that Tesla is increasingly willing to experiment with pricing and incentives as it prepares for broader FSD availability worldwide.
