SpaceX Drops Starlink Standard Dish to Lowest Price Ever

SpaceX has slashed the cost of its Starlink Standard Kit to just $89 in select parts of the United States, marking the lowest price ever for the satellite dish. That’s a 75% drop from its usual $349 price tag, and a staggering 85% less than what it cost only a year ago at $599.
On top of the heavily discounted hardware, new customers can also lock in reduced monthly service fees for the first year. The Residential Lite plan has been cut to $59 per month (down from $80), while the standard Residential plan is now available at $85 per month (down from $120). However, the offers are only available in select areas with low service demand. Customers in high-demand regions will not see the reduced prices, and in some cases may face additional congestion surcharges when ordering Starlink.

The move mirrors Starlink’s recent decision to cut subscription prices for U.S. customers last month. Much like the dish discount, these reduced monthly rates are also limited to regions with lower network demand.
These pricing changes highlight SpaceX’s ongoing push to expand Starlink’s global footprint and attract new subscribers. The high-speed satellite internet service now counts more than seven million users across 150 countries and territories worldwide.
Discounted Starlink hardware and plans are also available in Canada, although the Standard Kit hasn’t reached as low a price as $89. In Canada, promotions have recently brought the dish down to $249 alongside lower Residential plan fees.
By aggressively driving down both upfront and recurring costs in select markets, Starlink is clearly aiming to accelerate adoption — particularly in underserved areas where traditional broadband options remain limited.
