SpaceX Drops Starlink Standard Dish to Lowest Price Ever

SpaceX has slashed the cost of its Starlink Standard Kit to just $89 in select parts of the United States, marking the lowest price ever for the satellite dish. That’s a 75% drop from its usual $349 price tag, and a staggering 85% less than what it cost only a year ago at $599.
On top of the heavily discounted hardware, new customers can also lock in reduced monthly service fees for the first year. The Residential Lite plan has been cut to $59 per month (down from $80), while the standard Residential plan is now available at $85 per month (down from $120). However, the offers are only available in select areas with low service demand. Customers in high-demand regions will not see the reduced prices, and in some cases may face additional congestion surcharges when ordering Starlink.

The move mirrors Starlink’s recent decision to cut subscription prices for U.S. customers last month. Much like the dish discount, these reduced monthly rates are also limited to regions with lower network demand.
These pricing changes highlight SpaceX’s ongoing push to expand Starlink’s global footprint and attract new subscribers. The high-speed satellite internet service now counts more than seven million users across 150 countries and territories worldwide.
Discounted Starlink hardware and plans are also available in Canada, although the Standard Kit hasn’t reached as low a price as $89. In Canada, promotions have recently brought the dish down to $249 alongside lower Residential plan fees.
By aggressively driving down both upfront and recurring costs in select markets, Starlink is clearly aiming to accelerate adoption — particularly in underserved areas where traditional broadband options remain limited.
I think its a great idea because the big cable companies got a government subsidy but refuse to run fiber lines. That is why I got Starlink and I love it. After a 20 minute conversation with Comcast. The fiber lines end 2 miles from my house, despite them getting 81 million dollars to run cable lines in just my county alone. They said 3 to 5 years minimum or maybe NEVER. So keep it up Starlink. Get Starship operational and launch those V3 satellites to increase speeds. Im rooting for you. I cheered on Flight 10. Waiting on flight 11. I'm looking forward to the Advanced dish in the future, still using Version 2.
Refuse to run fiber lines? I know dozens of people in rural Kansas, and they all have fiber now.
Starling still has tons of purpose and value… But it's nuts to say that fiber hasn't been getting rolled out. My house up a mountain is even getting fiber in the next year.
He said he didn't have fiber and the provider said 3 to 5 years.
did you maybe intend to respond to a totally different post ??? Or are you just twisting his words for some weird reason?
I live in Florida and can't get fiber or cable. All we have is DSL that is painfully slow or cellular..
I had DSL in 2000. I feel your pain. Starlink would be a great option for you.
This is great news! I'm still curious how our rates compare with various rates around the world though.
TToo Bad starlink can not be financially viable for SpaceX, the cost of the constellation is far to high to get any form of RoI
