First Look: Regular Cybertruck Features on Non-Foundation Series
Images of the first non-Foundation series Cybertrucks have surfaced, shared by @Greggertruck on X, showing a few subtle design tweaks compared to earlier models.
These pictures come after Tesla launched configurations for lower-priced AWD Cybertrucks starting at $79,990 USD, plus a higher-end tri-motor version at $99,990 USD.
The notable differences include a slight change in the silver finish on the steering wheel’s “squircle,” and the removal of “Foundation” badging from the sides of the vehicle.
Other changes include the absence of the silver inlay on the lower center console, and the exclusion of rubber floor mats, which were previously included. Additionally, bed D rings appear to be optional now—a move some owners have criticized as a “huge miss.”
While some initially believed the word “airbag” on the squircle was new, other owners confirmed it’s been there all along.
Another recurring feature is the rivet solution on the accelerator pedal, which addresses a past defect where covers were slipping off. Despite these updates, the rivet solution is still present on these non-Foundation builds.
We also see some pictures of these non-Foundation Cybertrucks outside Giga Texas, thanks to drone pilot Joe Tegtmeyer, who also spotted the lack of laser badging on the sides:
I think I spotted a group of Non-Foundation Series @Cybertrucks in the Giga Texas outbound lot today … check out the closeup of the fender without the laser etching. We’re sure some third party aftermarket mods will surface for these AWD Cybertruck owners to “rice out” their builds to mimic a Foundation series.
