
Tesla has launched a substantial software update, 2023.26, and it comes with a lot of new features.
@Teslascope shared the release notes of 2023.26, which has gone out to one Model 3 in the U.S. and is an employee vehicle. Check out what’s new below in the 2023.26 release notes:
Charge on Solar
- This feature allows Tesla owners with a Powerwall to charge their vehicles using solar energy.
- The ratio of solar charging versus other sources can be adjusted via the Tesla app.
Spotify Refresh
- Spotify interface is updated to offer a familiar look for playing music, playlists, podcasts, and audiobooks.
- Premium Connectivity is required for this feature.
Automatic Headlights
- This safety feature turns on the headlights automatically when the windshield wipers are activated, and headlights are set to Auto mode.
Destination Closing Soon
- The navigation feature alerts drivers if their destination is nearing its closing time or may be closed upon their arrival.
Bluetooth Game Controllers
- The update allows the use of Bluetooth game controllers to play games in the Tesla Arcade.
- This feature is best suited for PlayStation 5 controllers.
Camera View on Tesla App
- Vehicle owners can simultaneously view multiple cameras when checking their vehicle’s surroundings via the Tesla app.
- This feature requires the Mobile App v4.22.5 and Premium Connectivity.
Warmer Display Colors
- The touchscreen can now be set to automatically adjust to warmer colors at night.
Other Updates
- Recents & Favorites are now in separate tabs in the Media Player.
- The sliders to adjust volume, temperature, and charge limit are more precise.
- Sentry Mode records if someone attempts to open a door or trunk when the vehicle is locked.
- Access the Owner’s Manual and Release Notes more quickly with the new Manual app.
- Automatic Navigation shows more details about your destination.
- A Swiss French keyboard is now available.
These features’ availability varies by model and location. Notably, this update also introduces an “Other Updates” section for the first time.
