Tesla is set to open a new showroom and service center in Chattanooga, Tennessee, later this year, reports the Times Free Press. A photo shared by the publication shows a building under construction for this new Tesla showroom.
A developer is building a 26,730-square-foot facility to be leased to Tesla in the Waterside development north of Shallowford and Gunbarrel roads near Hamilton Place mall. This will be Tesla’s fourth location in Tennessee, with stores already operating in Knoxville, Brentwood, and Memphis.
According to a real estate sales brochure, the property is listed for sale under a 12-year leaseback agreement with Tesla for $13.3 million. Dunphy Properties, which began site clearance for the new Tesla location in Chattanooga in October, is under a nondisclosure agreement, but the developer is marketing the property through Colliers International.
The building is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2023 for Tesla’s opening.
