2025 Ram 1500 REV Electric Truck Revealed with Up to 500 Miles Range
Ram 1500 REV Debuts with Two Battery Options, Rapid Charging, and Advanced Features
Ram has unveiled its all-new, all-electric 2025 Ram 1500 REV at the New York International Auto Show on Wednesday. The battery-electric light-duty pickup truck offers customers a range of powertrain options and technology.
“The all-electric Ram 1500 REV is a monumental milestone on our continued journey to offer the industry’s best electrified solutions and further fortifies our award-winning lineup,” said Ram brand CEO Mike Koval Jr. in a statement.
The 2025 Ram 1500 REV will provide customers with two all-electric options: a whopping standard 168 kWh battery pack targeting a range of up to 350 miles (563 km) and an optional 229 kWh large battery pack targeting a range of up to 500 miles (805 km).
The Ram 1500 REV supports 800-volt DC fast charging at up to 350 kW, allowing it to add up to 110 miles (177 km) of range in just about 10 minutes. The electric pickup also offers vehicle-to-vehicle, vehicle-to-home, and vehicle-to-grid bi-directional charging capabilities, making it highly versatile for various charging and power requirements.
With a quick 0-60 mph time of 4.4 seconds, 654 horsepower, and 620 lb.-ft. of torque, the Ram 1500 REV offers some key performance metrics. It can also ford up to 24 inches (61 cm) of water, tow up to 14,000 pounds (6,350 kg), and has a maximum payload capacity of 2,700 pounds (1,225 kg).
Inside there are 12-inch and 14.5-inch touchscreens and will also support one pedal driving. Also new is a 10.25-inch passenger screen with navigation and entertainment controls. The truck will support digital keys and a phone key, plus key card backup (sound familiar?).
Built on the new STLA Frame body-on-frame architecture, the Ram 1500 REV offers best-in-class storage with a powered frunk and features the Tungsten trim with a 23-speaker Klipsch audio system with 12-inch subwoofer. As part of Stellantis’ Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan, the Ram 1500 REV’s launch plays a critical role in the electrification of the company’s entire lineup in the coming years, says the company.
No pricing or dealer availability was released, but the truck isn’t set to arrive until 2025.
