Kelley Blue Book has revealed its 2023 Brand Image Awards and for the inaugural Best Overall EV Brand award, Tesla took the crown.
Aside from winning the Best EV Brand, Tesla also won four luxury brand categories, beating out traditional luxury automakers.
- Best overall luxury brand – 4th year in a row
- Most refined luxury brand
- Best value luxury brand – 4th year in a row
- Best performance luxury brand – four models that can hit 0-60 in less than 4 seconds\
I think it’s fair to say Tesla is cleaning up the EV category easily, as it remains the only automaker that has been able to churn out all-battery EVs at scale.
The best overall brand was Honda, the most trusted brand was Toyota, and the best value brand was Honda as well. The best truck brand was Toyota, while the best styling luxury brand went to Porsche. It’ll be interesting to see how these brand images will change in the next five to ten years, as EVs continue to increase in popularity.
