Tesla is offering up a free trial of Enhanced Autopilot for 30 days for owners in select countries. Normally, this add-on costs $6,000 USD in the United States.

Enhanced Autopilot includes the following features:

  • Navigate on Autopilot
  • Auto Lane Change
  • Autopark
  • Summon
  • Smart Summon

Tesla’s in-car notification to some owners in New Zealand and Australia reads, “a complimentary trial of Enhanced Autopilot has been enabled for you to enjoy for 30 days,” then it lists the features above for owners to try, as noted by @Tslachan and other owners.

The automaker instructs users to tap Controls > Autopilot to enable features and adjust settings. Tap Toybox > Theatre > Tesla Tutorials for more information.

Tesla Owen Maree from Brisbane, Queensland, said on Thursday evening, “Big thanks to @elonmusk and @Tesla for the holiday gift of enhanced autopilot for the next 30 days! Jumped in my car earlier and thought it was a mistake! Insane! With all the holiday travel happening, this will save lives! 🙌🙏 Now to test it out! Merry Christmas team.”

Another Tesla owner in New Zealand shared a similar screenshot. “Tesla gives away a 30-day Enhanced Autopilot free trial for Xmas. Just tried it and was awesome! Will consider paying for it when the trial ends,” said SC.

Currently, Tesla is offering $7,500 off Model 3 and Model Y deliveries in December in the U.S. and also free 10,000 Supercharging miles, as part of a year-end push for sales. This discount is $5,000 in Canada, and the 10,000 km Supercharging perk is also available.
