SpaceX announced on Wednesday it will be unveiling some sort of collaboration on Thursday at 7pm CT (5pm PT; 8pm ET), from Elon Musk’s Starbase in Texas.
“Tomorrow night at 7:00 p.m. CT, Elon and @TMobile’s Mike Sievert will announce plans to increase connectivity. Tune in to watch live,” said the SpaceX Twitter account.
Musk followed up to say “this is something special.” It’s unclear what will be announced but many suspect it will involve Starlink and cellular connectivity of some sort.

Starlink internet is already changing the game for remote communities, and if the satellite internet debuts some sort of mobile service for remote communities, that would further advance global communications.
Back in February 2021, a SpaceX filing with the FCC revealed plans for a Starlink phone service, emergency backup and low-income access.
