As a major company with publicly traded stock and an enormous presence in the media landscape, Tesla Inc. likes to keep its customers and shareholders informed. Whether it’s a comprehensive online stream following their earnings reports, or the company’s CEO responding directly to fans on Twitter, the company knows how to stay in the loop. In any case, Tesla recently released its 2019 Impact Report. The report sheds some light on key measurements and metrics on all the environmental aspects of Tesla’s performance last year.

As you probably know, Tesla prioritizes green energy and sustainable practices. To that end, the company aims to reduce its footprint, both in its public-facing products, and its private business practices. To that end, as the report states, “Transparency and disclosure are important for our customers, employees, and shareholders, which is why we have expanded the Impact Report’s content this year.”

Browsing through the report, it’s certainly clear that Tesla pulled no punches with the depth of the report. A helpful graph showcases the average lifecycle carbon emissions of several popular vehicles. The graph then compares Tesla vehicles to showcase some impressive numbers. The report continues, focusing on a new program called the Operations Energy Efficiency Program. This program works to reduce energy usage in Tesla’s production facilities across North America.
